A Jivamukti Yoga Retreat set in Bahay Kalipay Raw Food and Yoga Retreat House in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
This retreat allows yoga practitioners to search deep within and remember that all we want to become is already who we are. The practice will be done through asana (physical poses), study of the yoga sutras, exploration of past and current relationships.
The focus of the 4-part Jivamukti Yoga classes are: Part 1- Being rooted in our primary relationships (relationship with parents and family). Physical practice emphasizes standing poses. Part 2- Letting go of regrets (relationship with those whom we have hurt). Physical practice emphasizes twists. Part 3- Forgiving others (relationship with those who have hurt us). Physical practice emphasizes backbends. Part 4- Finding courage (relationship with the world around us). Physical practice emphasizes inversions.
In addition, there will be a satsang exploring the 5 yamas- ahimsa (non-harming), asteya (non-stealing), satya (truth), brahmacharya (non-sexual exploitation), aparigraha (non-greediness- according to Jivamukti Yoga co-founder Sharon Gannon's book Yoga and Vegetarianism.
