This 4-day 3-night Jivamukti Yoga Retreat will center around the theme of being present. We will explore what it means to stay in the moment—not only from a conceptual understanding but as a practical tool. Because of our attachments and aversions, it is a common human tendency to want to dwell in the past or move forward into the future. We forget that the present moment is all there is. When we are truly present, we become awakened to the gift of being completely alive, without having to wait a moment longer, without having certain conditions to be met to be happy. To be present is to learn to be happy for no reason at all.
We will integrate the physical yoga poses with intentional breath work, ancient yoga philosophy as it can be applied to our contemporary lives, the use of sound and listening as tools to tune in to the moment, and hands-on assists as means to develop body awareness.
The Jivamukti Yoga Classes in this retreat are suitable to all levels, from beginner to experienced yoga practitioners.
