This is a trauma-informed yoga class that uses the best of both worlds to aid in codependence recovery: the somatic approach of yoga and the cognitive approach of 12-step programs. You learn to practice radical honesty with your body experiences in order to do the same for recovery.

​Q: Who is the Yoga for Codependence Recovery session for?
A: Yoga for Codependence Recovery sessions are for individuals who are affected by codependency and other kinds of addiction, regardless of the drug of choice (alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, etc). These sessions are a good supplement to 12-step programs like Codependent Anonymous (CODA). It is one of the tools that an individual can use for relapse prevention.

Q: What is the format of a Yoga for Codependence Recovery session?
A: A Yoga for Codependence Recovery session includes theme introduction, breathing exercises, light and gentle yoga poses, affirmations, and guided meditation. The classes are beginner-level to accommodate everyone who is new to recovery or new to yoga. The intention is to learn to pause, so that we may break free from harmful compulsive patterns.
